Description
Hi! My name is Scooter and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of a group of dogs seized from a hoarding case and taken to a scary place called a shelter. A volunteer with a small local rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help a few of us and they said yes! I was super scared when I first got into foster but everyone has been so nice to me and I've been getting good food and treats, I have started coming out of my shell and now love to see my foster mom. I was super scared when I first came into foster but my foster mom went real slow with me and after only a short time, I realized she was not going to hurt her and now light up when she comes around me; all the other folks I have met here, too, have done the same thing and I am learning that people aren't all that bad. Also when I first got here, I had a little bit of hair loss (not as much as Fiona), and the vet felt it was from a flea allergy but that good food, preventative and time will be all that is needed before I have my black coat back all shiny, and then my foster mom says I will be just as handsome on the outside as I am on the inside! At around 18 months old I am 7.25lbs and shouldn't get any bigger. I have gotten along w/ all of the other small dogs I have shown a little interest in those things called cats but they are all bigger than me. I've also done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you. I probably have never had a fenced on before and they scare me, so a fenced yard would be great to keep me safe while I take care of my business and explore. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
