Description
Hi! My name is Fiona and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of a group of dogs seized from a hoarding case and taken to a scary place called a shelter. A volunteer with a small local rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help a few of us and they said yes! I was super scared when I first got into foster but everyone has been so nice to me and I've been getting good food and treats, I have started coming out of my shell and now love to see my foster mom & be held and cuddled. As you can tell in my pictures, I came into foster with some skin issues which the vet feels are the results to a flea allergy, but that's all being taken care of and it shouldn't be too long before I am as beautiful outside as my mom says I am inside. I know I've got some sugar on my muzzle but I just look older as it appears that I've had a pretty rough life up until now and have been bred many times. At around 6 years old and just a little over 6lbs, I won't be getting any bigger. I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met and haven't bothered the cats. I've also done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding; however, I would prefer to be out right next to you. I've probably never had a leash on before now and they are on the scary side so a fenced yard would be great to keep me safe while I take care of my business and explore. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
