When the day is done, his assertive "alpha" side completely melts away, and he transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up on your chest.   Carlitos is fantastic with other felines and handles social dynamics like a pro. Thanks to his balanced personality, he enjoys the company of friendly cats but can easily stand his ground with more independent felines who prefer their space. While a brief initial encounter left him a bit startled by dogs, his resilient and brave nature suggests that he could comfortably adapt to a pup with a slow, patient introduction. If you are looking for a loyal companion who brings both main-character energy and endless affection to your home, Carlitos is ready to claim your heart.   Most of Dexter's Kitties are fixed, chipped, SNAP combo tested and vaccinated for their age. The adoption fee is $150 for a kitten, $225 for two kittens. If you rent your home, we respectfully ask for your landlord or management company's information to confirm pets are allowed. If you own your home, we will check public records to confirm.      If the cat is still on our website, that means the cat is still currently available. If you have questions, your inquiries will be given priority if you submit an application at  www.DextersKitties.org . We are a volunteer team and try to respond as quickly as time allows.    And finally please remember that cats can live more than 20+ years, so this is a LIFE TIME commitment.  Please make sure you have the financial resources to cover emergency vet bills if your cat gets sick, a stable home, and someone to take the cat(s) if something heaven forbid happens and you can no longer care for them.  Thank you for adopting a rescue cat!
