Meet Opie — A Sweet Soul with the Cutest Little “Praying Paws”! Sometimes a cat is simply too friendly to be left outside — and that was definitely the case for Opie.  Opie was found as a friendly stray on Market Street in Harrisburg. Estimated to have been born around June 24, 2024 , he quickly showed his rescuers that he was not meant to be living life on the streets. He was so affectionate and trusting that putting him back outside just wasn’t an option. Thankfully, Opie is now safe and looking for the loving forever home he deserves. Opie is a loving, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing cat . One of his favorite things is curling up on your lap for some quality cuddle time. He also absolutely loves being combed and will happily enjoy some gentle grooming and attention. But Opie isn’t a needy guy. He is perfectly content to curl up on his own when you need to leave or get things done. He enjoys lounging in his cat tree and is quite happy entertaining himself with his favorite balls. He has an independent side that makes him an especially easy companion. And then there are his paws!  Opie has the most adorable little habit of putting his paws together as if he’s praying , then moving them up and down. It is ridiculously cute and just one of the many things that makes Opie so special.  Opie appears to prefer being the only cat in the home , but he is comfortable around dogs. He would likely do best with a family who will appreciate his affectionate nature while also respecting his independent side. Opie has been neutered and is ready to leave his stray days behind and start the next chapter of his life. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will happily snuggle in your lap, enjoy a good combing, entertain himself when you’re busy, and occasionally bless you with his adorable praying paws, Opie may be your perfect match!   Opie’s adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay.
