Meet Havi – A Tiny Fighter with a Giant SpiritSome kittens enter the world with every advantage. Havi wasn't one of them—but she has proven from the very beginning that she has no intention of giving up.Havi was born with a rare neural tube defect, similar to spina bifida in humans. The condition affects her spine, but importantly, she has no neurological deficits. She is bright, alert, curious, and determined to do everything a kitten should.Her journey hasn't been easy. After surviving a difficult start, Havi suffered a second heartbreaking injury when she was drop-kicked, requiring additional veterinary care and ongoing follow-up. Despite everything she has endured, her resilience continues to amaze everyone caring for her.As of July 22, Havi has reached exciting milestones:She is eating on her own.She has stood on all four legs.She is actively participating in physical therapy every day.Her strength and mobility continue to improve with each session.Our veterinary team is optimistic that, with continued physical therapy, Havi will continue making excellent progress. She may always have a slight limp, but we fully expect that to become just one small part of what makes her unique.If you've ever met a kitten who refuses to let life's challenges define her, that's Havi.
