Hi!  My name is Lizzy and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a really scary place called a shelter where, after my stray hold was up and no one came looking for me, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for me, a small local rescue came and got me and they contacted BCAA about helping me find a home and they said yes!  While my pictures make me look big, I'm really only a little over 13 lbs and my foster mom is actually giving me extra helpings at mealtime to get me to put on a little weight.  I'm only about 6 months old but my foster mom has been real impressed with how well I have been doing in my crate overnight without any accidents or even tearing up any bedding; however, I will let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you so an apartment would not be the right home for me (don't won't to disturb those neighbors!).  I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met and love playing with anyone who will play with me.  I'm learning to get better and better on a leash as it means I get to go out on an adventure, and you know how us beagles love an adventure!  Also, since us beagles love to get on a scent and follow our noses never looking up, you will need to be committed to always keeping me on leash if we're outside of a physically fenced area.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
