Ares (A143035) is a 4-year-old GSD who weighed nearly 70 lbs at intake!08/08/26 This handsome guy is Ares! Ares was brought to the shelter due to a change in his previous owner's job leaving little time to care for him. It is very important that Ares goes to a home without other dogs. Ares is very affectionate with people (although he does bark at strangers), but he really does not like other dogs, especially other big dogs. He was said to do well with other animals, including cats, small critters and livestock. He was also said to do well with babies and children. He was said to be kennel trained, but it is unclear how he does with potty training. Ares was said to have a rough play style, and he has been known to be vocal. However, he knows some basic commands, such as sit and stay. If you are interested in meeting Ares, and don't have any other dogs at home, please give the shelter a call!
