LIL BIT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Lil Bit and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (8/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!     Name: Lil Bit         Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 3.5 years as of July 2026        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   31 lbs   Gets Along With:  Lil Bit would do best as an only dog in the home. Lil Bit should not go to a home with kids. We have seen her do well with some cats, but she should have a long introduction period.    Currently Living at:  DC area boarding partner   Lil Bit is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweetie has all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager for sniffy trotting walks and all the adventures her new humans can dream up. And quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. And she'd like to make pup pals along the way too! But you know what she wants most of all? To know where she belongs, to spend time with her favorite people, and to be safe and loved. Lil Bit has so much to give to her humans - adoring gazes, love, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her trotting by your side?  What My Foster Says About Me:    Lil Bit is full of personality and impossible not to love! Once she gets to know you, Lil Bit will shower you with kisses and loves to cuddle. When she's excited to see you, she will jump without actually getting off the ground, we call it "tap dancing"! Lil Bit is a wonderful houseguest who appears to be housebroken and sleeps through the night in her crate with comically loud snores. She is a medium energy girl and spends most of her day snoozing or quietly chewing on bones. When the weather is cooler, she appreciates a long walk, but in the summer loves to keep it short. She is a laid back girl at home who entertains herself and settles in easily.  Lil Bit is a very loyal girl, and can become a little protective of her people and space. When meeting new people, she prefers to meet them outside first with a short walk, before they come into her house. She remembers people after one meeting, and quickly becomes a love bug once she knows she's safe with someone. On leash, Lil Bit can have some reactivity to dogs and kids, but is incredibly motivated by treats.  If you are looking for a dog who will become your best friend and entire world, Lil Bit has plenty of personality to fill that space in your heart! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
