Currently fostering at the Aloft Hotel Downtown OrlandoMeet Lucy! Lucy came to PRBJ with her best friend, PheePhee, when their owner's health issues prevented her from caring for the 2 girls. Now the Phee has been adopted, it's Lucy's turn to find her furever home. Lucy is playful and does well crated, on leash, and in the car- making her a fantastic travel companion. Her owner commented that she:*Is not big on long walks*Does occasionally use potty pads in the house*Gets nervous around smaller kids because they move too quickly *She lived with cats and a larger dog, but did not really care for them and would growl With this in mind, we are recommending a home with adults or considerate older kids and as the only pet/with a dog her size. New owners need to be diligent in reinforcing potty training and should be up for regular 6 week grooming appts to keep her coat tangle free. Lucy knows the word "treats" and will be expecting one if you say it. She also knows "eat," "outside," and "that's all."  Like many dogs, she is afraid of storms and looks to her human or her canine friend for comfort.
