Description

Meet Skye! Skye earned her name because of her absolutely stunning eyes - and they’re just one of the many things that make her special.Skye is a double merle Australian Shepherd who is deaf and has reduced, but functional, vision. The amazing thing is that if you watched her playing with people or romping around with other dogs, you’d never guess she has any limitations. She approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and just the right amount of sass!Like any young Australian Shepherd, Skye is incredibly smart, energetic, and eager to learn. She’s been making wonderful progress with potty training, crate training, leash walking, and all the important life skills she’ll need to thrive. She loves learning and is happiest when she’s engaged with her people.Skye is looking for a family that will embrace her for the amazing puppy she is, not define her by her disabilities. She’ll do best with adopters who are committed to continuing her training, providing structure, and giving this bright, adventurous girl the opportunities she deserves. In return, she’ll reward you with endless laughter, unconditional love, and the unwavering loyalty Australian Shepherds are known for.Skye would thrive with a confident canine sibling to help show her the ropes, though it's not a requirement. She takes her cues from other dogs and enjoys their companionship, making them wonderful teachers as she continues to learn about the world around her. If you're looking for a smart, loving, sweet, and playful girl - Skye can't wait to meet you.
