Meet Stevie Wonder!   He is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana and can come to NJ as soon as we find a foster or adopter.  If your idea of a perfect evening includes a cup of tea, a good book, and an adorable little dog curled up beside you, Stevie Wonder may be your perfect match! Stevie is an approximately 2-year-old, 8-pound Pekingese who is looking for a loving forever home where he can be someone’s very special little companion. After a big change in his life, Stevie landed in foster care, where he quickly showed everyone what a sweet, affectionate boy he is. Stevie absolutely loves attention and is happiest when he’s sitting next to his person, soaking up cuddles and pets. He has also done wonderfully in a busy foster home with two dogs and 26 cats, so he’s no stranger to having furry friends around! Stevie has cataracts and doesn’t see very well in low light, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life. He takes his daily eye drops like a champ and is ready to keep showing the world just how much personality this little guy has. He is potty trained and crate trained, and he’ll even come with his own kennel. Whether you’re looking for a little sidekick to accompany you around the house, a cozy lap warmer, or simply a best friend who will happily keep you company, Stevie Wonder is ready to fill that spot. This little eight-pound wonder has a lot of love to give — he just needs someone to give it to. Stevie Wonder is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Stevie Wonder has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
