Calista is a stunning 2-year-old Persian with a gentle soul. She came to MCAC after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. While this sweet girl has been through a lot of change, she's ready to find a patient, understanding family to call her own.Calista is very shy when meeting new people and adjusting to new surroundings. She'll thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home where she can take her time to decompress and build confidence at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she'll have the opportunity to let her true personality shine.Because of her sensitive nature, Calista would do best in a home with children over the age of 10 who can respect her need for space and gentle interactions. She has never lived with dogs, so if her new home has canine companions, slow, careful introductions will be essential. We also recommend giving her a dedicated `safe room` when she first arrives to help ease her transition.If you have a calm home, a patient heart, and are willing to let love grow on Calista's timeline, you'll be rewarded with the chance to earn the trust of a truly beautiful companion.
