Chewie, aka Chewbacca, is ready to find his fur-ever home! Chewie was found as a stray so we don't know about his past life. We are estimating he is about 3 years old. Chewie is SUCH a sweetheart. He loves cuddles, he loves attention and he is very friendly! When Chewie came to us he had a swollen paw most likely from some wound/injury he had gotten outside. But with some medications and love he is back to normal! Chewie is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, FIV/FeLV/Heartworm negative. We tested him for parasites and he did test positive for roundworms. He is currently undergoing treatment for the roundworms. Roundworms can transfer to other animals and to people (rarely) by ingesting the contaminated feces. We recommend letting Chewie have his own litter box and keeping it clean until he has a negative fecal test. The $100.00 adoption fee (  payable by cash or check only  ) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations; microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV testing.  Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application.
