This one of a kind girl is sweet, gentle, and looking for a home who will shower her with love.Emmy is a classic cat! She loves gentle pets, head scritches ,and bunny kicking her toys, as well as chewing on silvervine sticks. She is also a big fan of a puff ball toy that she likes to groom. As many kitties are, Emmy is very food motivated and loves a snack or treat. She will do pretty much anything you ask if she knows there's food on the line! Emmy does a great job at communicating her needs by chatting with you, especially if you are late with dinner.Emmy is blind and does not have much vision in either of her eyes. But don't let that worry you, she is just a normal kitty who sometimes runs into the wall! She still loves to play, explore, and get affection. She does not have any known acute or long term medical needs given her lack of vision, she just likes a household that is more consistent and doesn't rearrange the furniture all the time! In her foster home, she is always excited to find new spaces to hang out and toys to play with.Never had a special needs cat before? Let us reassure you that Emmy is just about as easy as they come! She just wants to eat, sleep in the sun, play with her toys, and love you! As she gains more awareness of her surroundings and the people in her environment, she opens up so much, showing off her silliness and personality. The biggest thing she needs is patience and love to get settled in. Give her a few days and she will claim full ownership of her new home and you will be merely following her every whim.In a forever home, Emmy would be happiest as a solo cat. We would not recommend a household that has loud dogs or high energy kiddos, although Emmy would likely do just fine with older kids. Emmy is looking for consistency, including people and households, so she can get to know her domain and settle in for the long haul.
