Birthdate:  02/18/2026Breed: One of a kindThey say that pressure-filled tough times can build character - and even produce diamonds.  In this case a difficult journey produced a vulnerable, marble beauty!   POPPY was injured when rescued by a good samaritan down south.  Her jaw had been degloved and she required immediate surgical intervention, which thankfully, she received.  Healing completely from what must have been a traumatic event, we'd understand if she was cautious or guarded.  What a sweet surprise then to have this strong survivor girl, sidle up to us and rub gently back and forth.  Once she knows you, she seeks out your touch and your company.  Exploring you thoroughly first, when she "friends you"  (and she will!) you'd have to be made of stone not to feel especially blessed.  Play time with you and with other social cats gets a big yes, and her current favorite toy is a pink flamingo that's practically her size.  Richly marbled and a monument to the heroic spirit of these cats - Poppy's not looking back.  Could you be her soft place to land?     The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets!
