Description
Location: Rochester, NY Available Finnegan (Finn) Finn is a sweet, easygoing three-month-old male puppy who is ready for his forever! He is currently living with two other cattle dogs, both female, one is almost two years old and the other is ten years old. He loves following his older sisters around and seeing what they're up to before grabbing one of his toys and hanging out in his secret lair. He is not one to initiate play with either of his sisters, however, if they try to play with him, he is more on the reserved side. He would well as an only dog or with a confident dog he can learn from. Finn has not been around cats but would anticipate him doing well. Finn has not had many opportunities to interact with children; we think his gentle and easygoing personality would make him a wonderful family dog. As much as he loves his toys, he also loves naps! He will take all of his toys to his lair, play with them for a little and then knock out, surrounded by every single toy he could find in the house. He is known to take a shoe or two to sleep with as well, however, he has never tried to eat said shoe. He is a very gentle boy and likes to have something that smells like his people when he sleeps. Finn's foster mom works from home most of the time during the week but when she does have to go into the office, he does great with the crate during the day. He is not crated at night; he finds comfort sleeping under the bed and scoots under there with his favorite toy right after night time potty. Finn has picked up potty training rather quickly; he is one smart cookie! Speaking of cookies, Finn LOVES food which will make training fun and easy. He has already learned to sit when he comes inside from outside and is always excited to earn another treat. He is a wonderful travel buddy and has already been camping! He went to the ADKs (about a four-hour car ride) and slept perfectly the entire ride up and back. He loved being in nature and even dipped his paws in the lake. Once he realizes you are his person, he will not want to leave your side. Finn is up to date on preventatives and vaccinations and will be adopted out with a neuter contract.
