Hi!  My name is Teddy and I'm looking for a SUPER SPECIAL home.  I'm only a year old (happy birthday to me!) and 12 tiny pounds.  In my foster home, I've have done well with other calm pups and prefer no small kids in the home.  My prior family loved me very much but they discovered that my liver doesn't work like it should and that I needed special medical care.  Thank to this rescue, I had a scan and some liver biopsies to determine that I have an acquired liver shunt. This means that I have abnormal blood vessels that allow blood to bypass my liver.  While I'm enjoying life right now and not on any medications at this time, I do tire easy and need to follow a strict low protein diet. There is no cure for me and will need medical management to keep me feeling my best. I'm house trained and love to follow my foster Mom around the house.  I really enjoy treats and cream cheese.  YUMMM!  I would love to find a home to hang out and promise to be a good boy.
