ISAAC NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Isaac        Best Guess for Breed:   Schnauzer and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:   3 years as of August 2026      SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:  10.6 lbs   Gets Along With: Isaac does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here. Special adoption considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- this dog would do better with another dog in the home to give him confidence.   Isaac is Looking For:  A real home. Isaac and a bunch of other scruffy cuties that look just like him landed in the shelter. They all are sweet - but scared. Isaac hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet so he's both uncertain about new places - AND he is eager to make up for lost time!   He'd like his own humans for sniffy walks and romps and world exploration. And snuggles, definitely snuggles. Making new pup pals along the way would be great too. And he'd like to go to dog school too - it's never too late to become a scholar!   Most of all, he'd like to know where he belongs, to be safe and loved for all his days. In exchange he promises so much love, so much loyalty. What do you say?
