Meet Taro Taro is a survivor in every sense of the word. This handsome tabby was living in a homeless encampment, where he endured abuse and neglect that left him with more than a few battle scars. Today, he's safe, loved, and finally getting the chance to experience the life every cat deserves. Taro is still healing from injuries sustained before his rescue, including an old eye injury, a tail injury, a broken tooth, and a neck wound. A post-operative complication left him with some nerve damage, but we're hopeful that, with time, healing, and continued care, he'll continue to improve. Despite everything he's been through, Taro has never lost his spark. He's incredibly affectionate with the people he trusts, absolutely loves to play, and has a goofy, engaging personality that shines once he feels safe. Watching him chase a toy or lean into pets is a beautiful reminder that resilience is real. Like many cats who have had to survive on their own, Taro communicates clearly. He has strong boundaries and appreciates people who listen when he tells them he's had enough. He isn't unpredictable—he simply expects to be understood. Someone willing to learn his language will discover a deeply loving, loyal companion. Taro isn't looking for perfection.
