Some dogs are happiest surrounded by a whole pack. Dakota only needs one thing to make her world complete—her person. Dakota is a stunning Shepherd with an incredible capacity for love. After being rescued from a Los Angeles shelter, she found herself in boarding when the rescue responsible for her was no longer there for her. Thankfully, her boarder refused to give up on this special girl, and now OURS is helping make sure the next place Dakota lands is the one she gets to call home forever. And if there’s one thing you should know about Dakota, it’s this: she absolutely adores people. Dakota connects deeply with her humans and thrives on companionship. She loves affection, wants to be included in whatever you’re doing, and is perfectly happy being your loyal shadow. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your home—she becomes part of your everyday life. Dakota also knows how to have fun! Give this girl a ball and she’s ready to play, and she takes the important responsibility of stashing her bones like buried treasure very seriously. She does have what appears to be an older leg injury that can occasionally bother her when she overdoes it, so she’s equally happy trading playtime for a cozy spot beside you.
