Tiger

Description

Hatch Date: Unknown Tiger is a male Blue Fronted Amazon. He lived with his previous guardian for over 17 years, and is believed to be at least 30 years old.  Meet Tiger! A paper roll shredding enthusiast who loves a good snack. Tiger is used to other birds and enjoys their company. He is slow to warm up, but once he is used to a face, he is a quick learner. He is very smart and reasonably cautious in new situations. He will happily greet you with a "Oh, hello" and can be chatty when content. He is pretty quiet for an Amazon, with minimal flock calling. He is a big fan of nutriberries and loves quinoa.  He was not let out of his cage much in his previous home and is hesitant to do so in his foster home. He is learning to step up and has done so several times so far for a treat.  Tiger has been DNA tested male and disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia. He is being fostered in Hammonton, NJ and will require three in-person visits before adoption. We do not ship our birds.   For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.  As our adoptable birds are living in private volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
