At just 6 pounds, she's small enough to fit perfectly in your lap, but she'll grow into a wonderful medium-sized companion ready to join you on all of life's adventures.Gem is everything you love about puppies. She's curious about the world, loves investigating new things, and happily follows her favorite humans wherever they go. She may take a moment to size up something new, but once she decides it's safe, she's ready to play, explore, and have fun. One of her cutest signature moves is giving hugs, and it's nearly impossible not to fall in love when she wraps those little paws around you.This sweet girl loves squeaky toys, exploring the yard, and watching the other dogs in her foster home to learn how everything works. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine buddy to play with or simply watch and learn from. She hasn't met any cats yet, so her compatibility with them is still unknown. Gem also does well with children who can help her continue building confidence.Like any growing puppy, Gem is still learning the basics. She's making great progress with potty training and is proving to be a fast learner. She settles nicely in her crate for naps and bedtime and is already developing wonderful routines. She's currently working on putting on a little more weight and has her spay appointment scheduled for Thursday, August 6.Gem has recently discovered her voice and may give an occasional puppy bark, but she's generally a quiet girl. Loud noises can surprise her, though she's growing more confident every day with love and encouragement.If your home could use a little more laughter, a lot more cuddles, and an endless supply of puppy kisses, Gem is ready to make every day brighter. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
