Rowan — Playful, Affectionate, and Always Ready for Fun Hi there! I'm Rowan, and if you so much as reach for a wand toy, I'll probably come running before you've even picked it up. Playing is one of my favorite things in the world. I love chasing toys, showing off my athletic moves, and dramatically flopping over in the middle of playtime. If you're looking for a cat who will happily join in on the fun, I'm your guy. When playtime is over, I'm all about spending time with my people. I'll come running when you call me over for pets, and after just a few scratches, my purr motor kicks into high gear. One of my favorite things to do is gently grab your hand so I can rub my face against it. Every now and then I'll even stand up to give you my version of a kiss by rubbing my face against yours. And if I really love you, don't be surprised if I decide to groom you with a few affectionate licks on your hands or face! I'm not much of a lap cat, and I'd rather keep all four paws on the ground than be carried around, but I absolutely love belly rubs and being close to my favorite humans. Sometimes I get a little excited during petting and may give a gentle nibble—it's just my enthusiastic way of joining the conversation. New sounds can make me pause for a moment, but I'm a resilient guy. Once I realize everything is okay, I'm right back to exploring, playing, and asking for attention. Like my buddy Magnus, I'm on a healthy meal schedule to help me stay in great shape. I'm just a little overweight, so my foster family feeds me scheduled meals instead of free feeding, and my future family should plan to continue that routine to help keep me healthy. Before joining Give Me Shelter, I lived with my friend Magnus, and we've done wonderfully together. We'd absolutely love to find a home together if the right family comes along, but we're also happy to be adopted separately. Want to see more of my adventures?
