Instead, she spent much of her young life confined to a porch, where concerned neighbors ultimately stepped in after noticing she was being left outside for prolonged periods.Now safe with us, Calypso is getting the fresh start she deserves.Like many puppies who haven't had the opportunity to learn, Calypso is still working on her manners. She's a teenage Dutch Shepherd with plenty of energy, curiosity, and intelligence—but very little guidance so far. She'll need an experienced handler who understands working breeds and is excited to channel her drive into training, structure, and positive experiences.This isn't a dog who's "broken"—she's simply a puppy who missed out on the foundation every dog deserves.With patience, consistency, and leadership, we know Calypso has the potential to grow into an incredible companion. Dutch Shepherds thrive when they're given a job, clear expectations, and a person committed to helping them succeed. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles.
