Description

Take Off is a handsome 4-year-old cat who's ready to cruise into his forever home. He may give you a look full of attitude now and then, but don't let his serious expression fool you. Underneath it all, he's a playful, affectionate lovebug.Take Off enjoys staying close to his people, whether that means supervising household tasks or curling up nearby for cuddles. He takes his role as helper very seriously, especially when someone is doing the dishes, and he's often right underfoot making sure everything is going according to plan. Playtime is one of his favorite parts of the day, and he loves cat tunnels, ball tracks, kicker toys, wand toys, and anything filled with catnip. When the pets start, he'll often flop over to show off his belly. While he enjoys a little belly rub now and then, chin scratches are his absolute favorite.Since his foster works from home, Take Off has become an enthusiastic office assistant. He's happy to lounge wherever the keyboard should be, lean against an arm while someone works, and soak up all the attention he can get. He's quite the purring machine, and while he does enjoy sitting on laps, he prefers to decide when cuddle time begins. When he's relaxing, he has the charming habit of crossing his front paws like a proper gentleman.Take Off has a medium energy level and thrives with plenty of interactive play to keep him engaged. He would love a home where his people are around often so he can enjoy their company and receive the attention he craves. He would do best with adults or older children who understand feline body language. He gets along well with other cats, but because he's a larger cat who enjoys wrestling, he'd be happiest with a confident, playful feline companion rather than a shy one. He has not yet been introduced to dogs.Take Off does have a few medical needs that help keep him happy and healthy. After experiencing a urinary blockage when he first entered foster care, he now eats a prescription diet, and his litter box habits should be monitored. He also receives medication mixed into his wet food twice a day to help manage stress and anxiety. In addition, he visits the veterinarian monthly for injections that help relieve sensitivity in his lower back. He handles his care routine very well, especially when food is involved.Food is definitely one of Take Off's favorite things, although he can be surprisingly picky about treats. He's been known to sneak a bite of meat or butter if it's left unattended, but he especially enjoys Raw Boost Mixers and chicken sticks.Take Off has come a long way since arriving in foster care. It took time for him to learn to trust, but with patience and consistency, he's grown into a relaxed, social companion who loves being near his people. At night, he's often found sleeping on a cozy pillow near your head, happy just to be close.Take Off is looking for a forever family that will continue to offer him patience, love, and understanding while helping him channel his playful energy in positive ways. In return, he'll be a loyal companion, a constant shadow, and a daily source of laughter and affection. If you're ready for a cat with plenty of personality, lots of love to give, and just the right amount of sass, Take Off is ready to make the journey home with you.---Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
