Meet Elsa – A Gentle Giant in the MakingBorn on May 4th, Elsa is a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix puppy with a heart every bit as big as the paws she's growing into. Before long, she'll be ready to begin the next chapter of her life—finding the forever family she's been waiting for.Elsa is one of those puppies who simply lights up when her people are near. The moment she sees you coming, her whole body starts wagging with excitement. She lives for affection, playtime, and snuggling close to the people she loves. Her sweet, gentle nature makes it impossible not to fall in love with her.Like many Great Pyrenees mixes, Elsa is also wonderfully intelligent and naturally curious. Every new sound, scent, or woodland visitor captures her attention, and she approaches life with confidence and wonder. Because she loves to explore, she will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely enjoy the outdoors without wandering off to investigate every squirrel, deer, or interesting sound that catches her attention.Elsa spent her first seven weeks with her large litter before moving into a smaller foster home, where she's been receiving lots of individual attention and learning all about family life. She's been raised around large dogs, cats, and young children ages 1 to 6, and she's been a loving, friendly companion to everyone she's met. To Elsa, every person and every animal is simply another opportunity to make a new friend.She's making wonderful progress with both crate training and house training and is eager to keep learning. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, she'll grow into an incredible family companion.We expect Elsa to mature into a large, majestic girl, likely weighing around 80 pounds or more as an adult. She'll need a family prepared to welcome a big dog with an even bigger heart.Elsa is looking for a home where she will be a cherished indoor family member—not a livestock guardian or outdoor farm dog.
