Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Sweet SUGAR SUGAR is as sweet as her name implies as well as a funny, happy and secure little pup! Sugar is a mix of an Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever and possibly Pyrenees, although she will not be nearly that big. Her current healthy weight for her age puts her about 40 pounds full grown. Sugar has now been fostered & quarantined after her first set of boosters and has been examined and cleared by a vet (other than needing a second round of dewormer which has already been administered) she is ready for a forever home! Sugar has been great with all other animals in the household where she’s Fostering; she’s a moderately active puppy, a perfect blend of playful with cuddly. Sugar is Fostering with small children, and she has been wonderful with them. However, the family has herding breed experience which is what we would require for any applicants with children under 10. Sugar is both crate-trained, and almost completely housebroken; there could be a back step in this process when she moves to a new home but she’s very good about not going in the crate as well as sleeping through the night. We’re looking for a home that has experience with herding breeds and a similar breed-mix male who is young and active; a playmate and Canine Companion for Sugar will be the perfect setting. As always, we look for a home or someone is not working away from the home during the day Puppies require a lot of love, affection, attention, and continued training  and this is the life that Sugar is accustomed to. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
