Astra (A137618) is a 1-year-and-5-month-old AK Husky mix who weighed 46.6 pounds on intake! 07/30/26 Astra arrived back at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for her new place to call home again! Astra has a history of wandering and is looking for a home that can keep her safely contained and out of trouble! She is the sweetest girl, and her finders have always said that! Since she has always been with us in a stray capacity, we do not know her experience level with children and other animals. As always, it is important to make appropriate introductions to continue to set her up for success! Miss Astra does have a history of being at large so she is looking for a home that can keep her contained – she should be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised while in a fenced-in yard. Astra is always a delight and is looking for a home that can continue to work with her. She would benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on her manners and to learn a trick or two. She is a smart girl, so providing her with appropriate outlets for her energy and plenty of mental stimulation is important. We do not know her history with children or other animals, so please ensure you are making appropriate introductions, and keep in mind that huskies are known for having high prey drives if you have those smaller critters around.
