Birdie is an adorable 10-week-old Boykin mix puppy who is ready to find a family to call her own! Weighing just 4 pounds, she’s tiny now but packed with all the playful curiosity, sweetness, and puppy charm you could ask for.Birdie’s story started before she was even born. Her mom wandered onto the property of some kind-hearted people while pregnant. When no owner could be found, they welcomed her in, gave her a safe place to have her puppies, and reached out to a local rescue for help. That rescue then partnered with BCAA to give Birdie and her family the chance to find wonderful forever homes.Birdie is currently participating in the “New Leash on Life” dog prison program, where she’s already getting an amazing start. She’s working on potty and crate training, learning about walking on a leash, and receiving lots of socialization with both people and other dogs. Like any puppy, she’ll need continued patience, consistency, and training as she grows, but she’s already on the right track to becoming a fantastic companion.Her mom, Bindi, is a beautiful 27-pound chocolate Boykin Spaniel mix, but since dad is unknown, we can’t predict exactly how big Birdie will be.
