Description

Nicki is a male cat who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR), but is underweight with a low body condition score and has multiple medical concerns, including a lingual ulcer, dermatitis, significant dental disease, and a positive test for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). He is currently receiving supportive care but requires ongoing medical management, treatment of his oral and skin conditions, and a dental evaluation with appropriate follow-up care. Although FIV-positive cats can often enjoy a good quality of life with proper care, Nicki's combination of medical needs exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
