This scruffy-faced cutie is Onyx. She is the kind of dog who loves being outside and is ready and able to be your great adventure buddy. While this girl loves the fresh air, she is also house trained and crate trained. And she is so very smart! Since she loves any and all treats, she loves to train. She wants to prove to you just how smart she is. Onyx can be on the shy side. She was not regularly meeting strangers in her previous home. She can be worried about this big world, and is hoping for a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in. Onyx may not want pets right away. However, once she is comfortable, there will be no such thing as personal space. Onyx has never lived with another dog. Here at the shelter she has been able to successfully meet some dogs and even get silly. She could possibly live with a cat, starting with complete separation. And she would prefer to live with older children who would be able to help with her training plan. Does this fun girl sound like the dog for you?
