Description

Clifford is a name synonymous with a big red dog in a very popular children's book.  A dog that was loving and friendly with children and very gentle.  Well our Clifford is loving and friendly but NOT gentle.  He adores everyone he meets, but he is like a bull in a China shop. But what can you expect of a young purebred French Bulldog that was not raised to have manners, but to help make money as a breeder dog living with a rural Tennessee backyard breeder.  He didn't learn the P's and Q's of life with people or dogs, but he is learning them NOW!  This young 1-2 year old male live wire just barges in and wants to experience the situation full throttle. He is good with other dogs but he rushes them a bit too fast at first.  He just needs a strong owner and leader to reel him back in firmly, lovingly and to consistently teach him.  He is not housebroken as he was just neutered on 7/23 and he is going to need time to stop marking.  A belly band is a great solution for all of that.  He came from a breeder who was not in it for the love of the breed but the money and Clifford was among some of her special favorites.  He has been de-barked (vocal chords cut) and as hard as that is to hear, he is not damaged but just sounds funny.  He walks on a leash with some pulling and that can subside with daily practice.  Clifford is all Frenchie and he weighs a solid 26 pounds.  His heart is pure happiness and mischievousness.  Please contact us at Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
