One of his absolute must‑haves is a home where he’s allowed to sleep in bed with his humans; it’s his favorite place in the world! He would do best in a home where his humans either work from home or are generally home more often than not. He’s crate trained, eats his meals in his crate, and can stay crated for up to three hours. During thunderstorms, his crate is his safe space, and he prefers to be fed separately from other dogs in his crate. Connor is working hard on his potty training and makes great progress with consistent breaks and positive reinforcement. He sleeps soundly, communicates when he needs a nighttime potty trip, and loves napping close to his people. Connor is wonderful with all people he’s met and would likely do well with older, respectful kids, though a meet‑and‑greet is recommended as he has only met kids but not lived with them while in rescue. While he enjoys some dogs on walks, he can be resource‑guarding and territorial in the home, so he’s considered dog selective — any future dog siblings will need a meet‑and‑greet to ensure compatibility. He has lived with cats successfully, but slow introductions are still best. With moderate energy, good leash manners, no issues with bathing, and the ability to navigate stairs and hop onto beds with ease, Connor is an easy, loving companion perfectly suited for condo or apartment living! He doesn’t need a fenced yard — just daily outings, affection, and a warm spot next to you at night.
