Meet Iris, a lovable 1-year-old Lab/Pittie mix weighing about 40 pounds. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and cuddle bug. She's just as happy chasing a ball, playing with another dog, or going for a walk as she is curling up on the couch—preferably right on top of your legs!Iris is friendly, warms up quickly to new people, and loves being close to her person. She's house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and is highly treat-motivated, making her eager to continue learning. She has great manners in the home and keeps her chewing to appropriate toys and bones.She gets along well with other dogs, does well with children, and could thrive as either an only dog or with a canine companion. A fenced yard or an adopter committed to daily walks would be ideal to help her burn off her medium energy.One of Iris's most charming features is her adorable underbite, but it's her affectionate nature that will truly steal your heart. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's always ready for an adventure—or a nap—Iris is ready to meet you!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis.
