Description
Meet Pico, a gorgeous 2‑year‑old shepherd mix with a whole lot of heart. She first came to us as a stray in September 2024 and was adopted, but her family sadly had to move and couldn’t take her with them. The shy girl who once tip‑toed through life came back confident, affectionate, and ready to love her people with her whole soul.Pico is smart, playful, and full of personality. She has lived with dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. Her previous owner called her “the sweetest girl,” and we see that sweetness every single day. Pico does well with children, but smaller kids who don’t yet understand personal space can make her a little nervous, so a home with gentle, respectful kiddos would help her feel secure. She can also get overwhelmed by very active or in‑your‑face cats, so calm, dog‑savvy cats — or no cats at all — would be her best match.Gentle, loving, and absolutely stunning, Pico truly deserves her forever home. She’s ready for her next chapter, and she’ll make a wonderful addition to any family who gives her the chance she deserves.Pico's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
