Meet Whiskey, a 3-year-old, 11-pound grey and white Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as his story. After surviving being hit by a car, Whiskey was left with permanent neurological damage. He made his way to us from Jasper County by way of Beaufort County Animal Services, and now we're ready to help him find the forever home he deserves. Here's the best part... Whiskey is an incredibly good dog. He eats normally, enjoys his daily routine, loves being around people, and doesn't let his condition steal his joy. While he'll always have neurological deficits, they affect his day-to-day life much less than you might expect. We're looking for someone who believes that perfect doesn't mean flawless—it means finding the dog that's perfect for you. Whiskey will need extra patience, understanding, and care, but in return you'll gain a loyal little companion who has already proven just how resilient he is.
