* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 1st from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event.     All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $800 Supermodel may have come from the shelter, but you'd never know it from the joy she brings to every room she enters. This happy-go-lucky little Maltese mix is an 8–10 month old bundle of sunshine who greets life with a wagging tail, sparkling eyes, and enough love to make everyone in the house feel like they're her favorite person. At just 13 pounds, she's equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, comedian, and loyal sidekick— all wrapped up in one adorable, low-shedding package.   A Day in the Life of Supermodel   Supermodel starts her mornings around 7:00 AM with a quick trip outside, followed by breakfast sometime between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Her second meal is around 5:00 PM, with frequent potty breaks throughout the day as she continues working on her house training.   The rest of her day? Play, play, play! Supermodel spends hours romping around with her foster brother, a French Bulldog named Mocha. Whether they're zooming through the yard or turning the living room into their personal playground, she's always ready for the next adventure. Once she's successfully worn everyone out— including herself— she happily curls up for a nap beside Mocha or snuggled close to her people.   When bedtime arrives, Supermodel sleeps quietly in her crate, but during the day she wants to be wherever her family is.   Tiny Dog, Giant Personality   Supermodel is one of those rare dogs who seems to love everyone she meets. While she was slightly unsure of Mocha during her very first day, it took less than 48 hours for the two to become inseparable best friends. Today they're constantly playing, cuddling, and making each other laugh. In fact, Supermodel loves him so much that personal space is no longer part of his vocabulary! She happily squeezes into his bed, joins him for every cuddle, and has mastered the art of politely inserting herself into every petting session.   She is absolutely a velcro dog who likes to keep tabs on her family. If you move to another room, chances are she'll be right behind you just to make sure she isn't missing anything. She loves laps, loves being close, and is equally content snuggling quietly or bouncing around ready for the next game.   One of the sweetest things about Supermodel is how eager she is to please. She's incredibly attentive, learns by watching the dogs around her, and quickly began copying Mocha's play style and routines after arriving. She's smart, observant, treat-motivated, and would likely have a blast learning tricks with her future family.   Her foster family lovingly nicknamed her "Suni" after Olympic gymnast Suni Lee because watching Supermodel move is like watching an acrobat in action. She effortlessly springs from lap to lap, hops gracefully onto furniture, and seems to float wherever she goes. She's athletic, agile, and amazingly coordinated.   Social Butterfly   Supermodel adores her foster family's 24-pound French Bulldog and would likely love another playful, easygoing dog who enjoys having a constant companion. She gets along wonderfully with the entire family, including young adult children, and has an affectionate, people-loving personality that makes her a delight to have around.   She's playful and energetic but also knows how to settle in for cuddle time. Her greatest joy is simply being with her people (and preferably another friendly pup too!).   Training Progress   Like many young dogs, Supermodel is still learning. She is crate-trained but isn't fully house trained yet, so she'll need a family committed to continuing her routine with frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement.   She's also learning what belongs in the toy basket and what belongs on your feet. She has sampled a shoelace or two but is very much a typical curious puppy rather than a destructive chewer. Give her appropriate toys and bones, and she's perfectly content.   The Perfect Home   Supermodel would thrive with a family who appreciates an affectionate little shadow that wants to be involved in everything. She'd love another friendly, playful dog who enjoys having a best friend, though she'd also be happy soaking up all the attention herself.   Because she's still young and energetic, her family should be prepared to continue her potty training and help her polish her puppy manners. In return, they'll get a devoted companion who will happily keep them laughing every single day.   Why You'll Fall in Love   Supermodel has that magical combination of sweetness, intelligence, athleticism, and endless affection that's impossible to resist. She wants everyone's approval, learns quickly, and loves with her whole heart.
