Sugar w/ Dandy

Description

2026 Update: Sugar was widowed & is remarried to a handsome young dandy named Dandy. They are a lovely couple. (Sugar's beloved old husbird Cello's health declined due to heart disease. (He didn't feel well enough to spend time with her even.) Cello was transferred into the wonderful critical hospice care of Jenna & Moose's Flock where she got him feeling so much better for his last couple of weeks before he passed away peacefully at home in her loving arms. RIP Cello. He is missed. Update 6/2/21: Sugar has married her gentle, giant King pigeon friend, Cello. We are very happy for them!Sugar is a beautiful little Roller pigeon with tiny feet & a racer's face. S/he was lost & grounded with a strained wing when rescued & taken to San Jose Animal Care Shelter on 5/17. Though banded, no one responded to the shelter's efforts to get her claimed & we rescued her on 5/22. Sugar was very tense & fearful when picked up but cheered as soon as she joined other rescued pigeons. She immediately took a bath & had a nice soak with her new giant King pigeon friend.
