Description

Meet Mo – a country boy at heart! Mo is a fluffy sweetheart who’s struggling with city life after his family moved from the country to a busy apartment. All the noise and activity just isn’t his style, and he’d love to find a calmer home where he can relax and be close to his people. Mo is a big-time cuddler who loves adults and does well with older, sturdy kids. He’s house trained, knows his basic commands (sit, stay, come, lie down), and is happiest just hanging out with his humans. He may do best as an only dog, and because he has a bit of a prey drive he’s looking for a home without cats or small dogs. Mo can get anxious when left alone and has been taking Prozac to help with the stress of city life, but a quieter environment may make a big difference for him. Also, don’t leave him alone in a fenced yard — he’s been known to hop a fence to come looking for you! Think you might be the peaceful home this loyal boy needs? Email: jvcarmichael@yahoo.com Age:  6 years Weight:  75 lbs Temperament: Gets along with bigger sturdy kids, all adults. Training: Housetrained,  knows basic commands, sit, stay, come, lie down Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
