Description
Meet Reina! Reina is an adorable brindle medium-size mixed breed dog with short stature, weighing about 38 pounds and is one year old (DOB = May 2025). We believe she is a cattle dog/terrier mix. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Fort Worth, Texas on the day she was to be euthanized for high energy. She did very well in the car ride from Texas to California – no nausea or vomiting. She seems so grateful to be saved! At the shelter she participated well in play groups with other dogs. She has no history of aggression with dogs or humans. In fact, Reina excitedly wants to meet everyone and every dog – she loves any attention, being petted, and belly rubs! She is receiving puppy training for socialization - she can become overly excited when she sees and wants to meet other dogs. Reina loves exploring her new ‘world’ and is adjusting to leash walking, playing with interactive toys, and all the new smells in her environment. She has a very sweet, super affectionate, and happy personality - smiling all the time! She sleeps well through the night and is mostly house-trained.. Reina is currently living in a foster home with the family's 15-year-old senior dog. They get along very well, though she would benefit from being in a household with a younger dog(s) as she really wants to play. She loves walks and would do well with an active owner who could exercise her and provide stimulation. Reina would be a rewarding and special addition to any family who would be lucky to have her as a loving new member! She truly seems so thrilled to be alive! She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300.
