Description
Puppies don't come any sweeter than Sugar! Sugar is estimated to be around 2-3 months old, and she is a darling girl with an irresistibly sweet personality to match her adorable face. She is a bubbly and affectionate girl who loves going to new places and making new friends. She is always down for some fun and would love a semi-active family who will bring her along for adventures. Sugar weighs about 8-10lbs and we estimate that she will be around 40-60lbs when fully grown. Sugar came to us from our local animal shelter with her two sisters, Madeline and Oreo. The girls came into the shelter as strays with their mom and six siblings. An owner came forward and reclaimed their mom after she was spayed, and the remaining puppies went to another local rescue. The Cookie Sisters have been thriving in foster together and are now looking for individual homes where they can get the one-on-one training and socialization they need to be well-rounded adults. Sugar's mom appeared to be a pit bull mix and weighed about 60lbs. We do not know who the dad is. Sugar is the wrestling queen of the group. She is always the first to initiate playtime and makes the most hilarious noises when she plays. She is a very curious girl and enjoys going on walks, being carried in a puppy pack. Once she is fully vaccinated, she will be a great companion for someone who wants a camping or hiking buddy. Sugar is a very smart girl and needs a family committed to helping her continue to learn all of her basic manners. She would be a great candidate for group puppy training classes. Sugar loves other dogs and quickly became BFFs with the pug in her foster home. She seems like she would do best with another playful dog in her new home so that she always has someone to race around with. Sugar has done very well living with dog-savvy cats. Sugar could make a wonderful addition to a family with older kids. Sugar is still working on her housetraining, so she will need a family who can be patient while she is learning and be consistent with her training. Sugar does well being left for short periods with her sisters in a pen, but has never been truly alone. She would do best with a family that can slowly acclimate her to being home alone. Sugar happily sleeps through the night in a pen with her sisters. **Due to her breed mix, Sugar may not be allowed at most rental homes or apartments.
