WOODY HAS NOT COMPLETED HIS VACCINATION SERIES AND HAS NOT BEEN NEUTERED. HIS NEUTER IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17. HE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OUTSIDE A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER HE HAS BEEN NEUTERED. Meet Woody! If you're looking for a professional cuddler with delightfully awkward puppy zoomies, Woody would like to introduce himself. This approximately 8-week-old, 10 lb., possible Australian Shepherd mix absolutely loves people. His little tail starts wagging the moment he sees someone, and if given the choice, he'd happily spend the day curled up as close to you as possible. His favorite nap spot? Right on top of your feet while you're working. Woody is already showing just how smart he is. He's picking up on basic commands quickly, is making great progress with potty training, and is learning that crates aren't so scary after all. (He's just a little guy, after all!) As Woody grows, you'll start to see even more of the intelligence, energy, and enthusiasm that make Australian Shepherds such wonderful companions. They're happiest when they have plenty of opportunities to exercise, learn new skills, solve problems, and spend time with their people. If you're considering adopting Woody, we encourage you to spend a little time learning about Australian Shepherds and other herding breeds. They thrive with families who enjoy training, outdoor adventures, and finding fun ways to keep an active dog mentally and physically engaged.
