Description
Meet Brock – Your Next Adventure Buddy! Brock (formerly Blackjack) is an 8-month-old neutered male with a big heart, endless enthusiasm, and so much love to give. He's looking for an active family that will continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he's already becoming. Brock absolutely adores other dogs and has spent months happily attending doggie daycare at K9 Resort in Apex, where he's enjoyed playing and socializing with canine friends. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog or an owner who enjoys getting outside. A fenced yard would be a dream come true—he loves soaking up the sunshine and exploring the outdoors. Like any young puppy, Brock has plenty of energy! He enjoys chewing on bones, playing tug-of-war, sniffing everything on walks, and going on adventures. One of his favorite things in the world? Car rides! He's always ready to be your co-pilot. While he sometimes needs a little boost into taller vehicles, he easily jumps into lower cars or cargo areas. Brock has completed a two-week professional training program with Proactive Dog Training in Cary and already knows commands such as sit, place, and here. He's eager to please and has a wonderful foundation, but like any adolescent dog, he'll benefit from continued training, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He has been socialized with children ages 6 and older. Because he's still a playful, energetic puppy, he may accidentally jump when excited, so a home with older children or adults may be the best fit. Brock's current family loves him dearly but has made the difficult decision to rehome him because he has shown some anxiety around their young daughter, who has ADHD. They want to find a home where both Brock and his new family can thrive. If your household includes someone with high energy or unique sensory needs, a thoughtful introduction and careful assessment of the fit will be important. Brock isn't looking for perfection—he's looking for someone willing to invest in him. With continued training, patience, structure, and lots of love, he has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal, fun, and devoted companion. If you're looking for an affectionate, playful adventure buddy and are ready to help a young dog reach his full potential, Brock would love to meet you. ********************************************************** The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.
