A SWEET, SENSITIVE SOUL: Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 29 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Falkor! I’m a darling pup who came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a wonderful new home and family to raise me! I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I was able to go for a spend-the-night with one of the nice fosters too. Now, I’m ready to find my new family—so come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I was shy and timid when I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I did show my teeth a little because I was feeling unsure. I came in with another dog, though, and we get along very well, so I may simply need slow, thoughtful introductions to new canine friends. If you already have a nice dog at home, let’s meet with one of the Mostly Mutts trainers and see if we’re a match! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no very young kids as I do startle easily, and of course, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was scared when I first arrived, so I appreciate it when people go slowly and give me a chance to warm up. Once I know I’m safe, my true personality shines through—I’m an absolute sweetheart with the softest coat, a loving heart, and a cuddly nature. Just spend a little time sitting with me, and before long, I’ll be all tail wags, snuggles, and ready to be your friend. I was wonderfully calm during my bath and showed my bather how gentle and affectionate I can be. In the home I visited, I had moments where I was super playful and others when I felt a little nervous, but with patience, kindness, and reassurance, I know I’ll continue to grow in confidence, and my personality will continue to blossom. / Energy level: 3-5 at the shelter and we think it will be higher once I’m in my new home. It was more like 5-7 in the home I got to spend the night in. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘come’ commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / Though the crate is not a place I’d want to spend a lot of time in, I’m doing pretty well with it at Mostly Mutts. I did not like being in a crate during my spend-the-night. / I’ve had very few accidents on the shelter schedule and did well in my spend-the-night foster home. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys of all kinds, especially squeaky ones, and I’m great at entertaining myself with them! Tasty treats are always welcome, and I enjoy going for walks, cuddling, and curling up in a nice lap while soaking up lots of pets. Sometimes I’ll give a little nervous grumble at first, but then happily climb right into your lap for affection—it’s just my way of saying I need a moment before I settle in. Spending time close to my people is one of my favorite things. / I don’t like being rushed or caught off guard by unexpected things, so I appreciate a patient approach and gentle introductions to new situations. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
