Well hello there! I am Hootie! You might have seen my story on social media. I have really had a long journey that wasn't all good. About 8 years ago, I was dumped and left behind by my family when they moved away. I had to fend for myself for 8 years outside, and I was not fixed so everyone in the neighborhood fought with me. I ended up being hit by a car, when a good Samaritan caught me and surrendered me to Castaway Critters. I have cauliflower ears, I have a bad tooth that is being managed, and I have some spots on my fur that will probably never grow back. However, my foster Mom tells me I am handsome and I believe it! I am not 100% used to humans yet, so I spend most of my day in my comfy chair. I like to look out the window, eat lots of wet food and take lots of naps. I only like a few minutes of human affection on my terms until I let you know that I have had enough. I am friendly with other female cats, but would probably do best in a home with only one other female submissive cat or a home by myself. I am perfect for a senior companion, as I am at least 10 years old. I am looking for a place to just lay in a comfy spot, enjoy my snacks and enjoy the rest of my days.   I use my litter box religiously, I am neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and up to date on my vaccines.
