Pokey is a full grown Chihuahua mix weighing under 10 pounds, and he's proof that the best things really do come in small packages! Pokey is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly. One minute he's happily bouncing around the house or pouncing through the backyard, and the next he's curled up in the coziest dog bed or wrapped up in a soft blanket for a nap. He's a social little guy who loves being around people and enjoys making friends with other dogs. He's often the one to initiate play, but once everyone has had their fun, he's ready to settle in for some snuggles. One of Pokey's cutest quirks is how he shows his excitement. Instead of just wagging his tail, his whole little body bounces up and down! He also loves to "talk" to his people with adorable little noises, making every interaction with him entertaining. Pokey is doing great with his potty habits and is consistently going outside on his schedule. He's quiet in his crate, walks on a leash, and will happily go potty while out on walks. He's still learning that leash walks are for staying with his person instead of following every interesting scent, but he's doing well and continues to improve. If you're looking for a sweet, happy little companion with a playful spirit, a hilarious personality, and plenty of love to give, Pokey just might be your perfect match.
