    Adoption Fee: $800 Kindred is a 1 year old Malti-Poo with the face of a Disney sidekick and the emotional range of someone who accidentally signed up for Coachella when they were really hoping for a quiet bookstore café. (And yes... she's non-shedding for those who appreciate less fur and more spa days.) This girl has lived a life, folks. She recently spent time in a foster home with four college roommates, another dog, city noise, constant movement, and what we can only describe as "an ongoing group project nobody finished." There were people coming and going, stairs, sounds, chaos, snacks, confusion, and probably at least one guy named Tyler yelling, "WHO ATE MY LEFTOVERS?" at midnight. Through all of it, Kindred survived with her fluffy dignity mostly intact. And here's the funny part... After experiencing what was essentially Doggie Spring Break 2026, Kindred has decided she's simply not the party girl. Imagine inviting your introverted friend to New Year's Eve in Times Square without warning. That's Kindred's opinion of big crowds. She'd much rather RSVP "No thanks," curl up beside her favorite person, and call it a perfect evening. Kindred is much more "coffee on the porch, cozy blanket, and one favorite human" than "music festival and rooftop happy hour." She truly shines in a quieter home where life is predictable, peaceful, and everyone knows the routine. One of the most remarkable things about Kindred is how much she has grown. Her foster has done an incredible job helping her build confidence through calm, consistent leadership and clear boundaries. The result? A little dog who has learned she doesn't have to make every decision herself because she trusts her person to do it for her. Kindred does best with people who naturally provide gentle, confident leadership. She isn't looking to run the household. Quite the opposite. She relaxes when she knows someone else has the job. She thrives with people who believe dogs are happiest when they understand the rules. Kindness, consistency, routine, and loving boundaries have transformed this little girl, and her foster will gladly share exactly what has worked so her new family can continue building on that success. Once she trusts you, Kindred is absolutely devoted. She'll quietly follow you from room to room like your tiny personal assistant, supervise every household project, and happily remind you that privacy is wildly overrated. If you're on the couch, she'd love to be nearby. If you're working around the house, she'll happily clock in for her completely unpaid supervisory position. She's wonderfully affectionate without being needy. Sometimes she'll curl up touching you. Other times she'll simply lie nearby, perfectly content just being in your company. She absolutely adores toys. Fetch is one of her favorite games, especially with smaller toys, and she loves entertaining herself. While she's playing, she'll often "talk" to her toys with adorable little growls and funny noises that make it sound like she's having a very serious conversation. The first time you hear it, you'll probably laugh. She's simply having the time of her life. She also loves car rides, enjoys splashing through shallow water whenever she gets the chance, walks beautifully on leash, sits politely while you put on her harness, and has impeccable house manners. She's house-trained, crate-trained, has never been destructive in her foster home, and has no separation anxiety. That's a pretty impressive résumé for a young dog. She even has opinions about music. Her foster discovered she's not particularly impressed with piano practice. Whether she was critiquing technique or trying to save the neighborhood from jazz remains unclear. Kindred gets along beautifully with her foster's dog and would likely enjoy another gentle canine companion, but she's equally content being your one and only. Like many thoughtful dogs, she prefers meeting new people and dogs at her own pace. Give her a little time, allow her to make introductions on her terms, and you'll discover a sweet, affectionate little dog who simply likes knowing the world is a safe place. Because she enjoys a calm, predictable lifestyle, Kindred will be happiest in an adult home where she can continue thriving in the structured environment that has helped her become such a wonderful companion. Kindred may never be the dog happily attending crowded festivals wearing sunglasses in a stroller. But she will be the dog waiting patiently by the door when you come home... sleeping soundly beside you... making you laugh with her quirky little personality... and looking at you every single day like you're the greatest thing that's ever happened to her. And really... That's the better love story anyway.
