Description

ABOUT CEDAR AT A GLANCE ✅ Great with other dogs ❌ Best in a home without cats, livestock, or chickens Best suited for an adult-only home due to his specific management needs ✅ Housetrained and crate trained ✅ Microchipped Breed: Mountain Cur Mix Age: 4 years old ✅ Fully vaccinated and neutered Graduate of a 5-week professional board-and-train program Active companion who loves walks, hiking, and trips to the dog park ❤️ Thrives with a confident, attentive owner who understands dog behavior and enjoys providing structure, routine, and continued training MORE ABOUT CEDAR Cedar is a handsome 4-year-old Mountain Cur mix with a sweet, adventurous spirit. He loves exploring the outdoors and is always ready for a hike, long walk, or playtime at the dog park. Once he’s had his exercise, he settles nicely indoors and enjoys relaxing with his family. He is independent enough to be comfortable on his own, but also enjoys having canine companions. Cedar has an excellent training foundation. He completed a premium 5-week professional board-and-train program and is fully crate trained. He knows Sit, Down, Up, Leave It, Wait, Paw, and Roll, and has reliable recall at shorter distances. Watching him run and play is one of his greatest joys. In most public settings, Cedar is friendly and does very well around both people and other dogs. Like many dogs, he has a few specific triggers that require thoughtful management. On occasion, he may react to things such as loose or baggy clothing, bicycles passing by, or items like bags or blankets being carried. Because of this, he will do best with an owner who is attentive, understands canine body language, and is comfortable proactively managing his environment. Cedar will thrive in a home that provides consistency, clear expectations, regular exercise, and plenty of affection. He forms strong bonds with his people and is incredibly loyal once he feels secure. While the transition to a new home may take some time, an experienced and patient owner who continues the structure and training he’s already received will be rewarded with a devoted, fun-loving, and wonderful companion.
