Description

Approx. DOB: 6/29/20                Approx. Weight: 15.4 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Meet Starla – A Fresh Start for a Beautiful Little Lady! Starla is an absolutely darling little Havanese mix with a sweet personality and so much love to give. She adores her people and is happiest when she's close to the ones she loves. She gets along well with other small dogs and has also done well with cats. Starla must be in a home with NO large dogs. She is uncomfortable around bigger dogs and does not do well with them. For her happiness and everyone's safety, she will only be placed in a home with small dogs or as an only dog. Starla came to Furry Kids as an owner surrender after her family's new living situation no longer allowed dogs. While they made the difficult decision to do what they felt was best for her, Starla arrived needing quite a bit of TLC. Her coat was so severely matted that she had to be completely shaved down. She was also suffering from a significant urinary tract infection and was in desperate need of a dental cleaning. Thanks to the wonderful care she has received, Starla is now healthy, feeling great, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life! You may notice that we've listed Starla as a Havanese mix. We were originally told she was a Russian Bolonka mixed with a Chinese Crested. Since our adoption system doesn't recognize the Bolonka breed and Starla certainly doesn't resemble the mostly hairless Chinese Crested, we asked our groomers for their opinion. They all agreed that Starla most closely resembles a Havanese, so that's the breed mix we've chosen to list. One of Starla's favorite things is going for walks! The moment she sees her leash and harness, her tail starts wagging because she knows an adventure is about to begin. Because of her beautiful coat, Starla will require regular professional grooming. To keep her comfortable, healthy, and looking her best, grooming every 6 weeks is recommended. Her future family should be prepared for this lifelong commitment. Starla has been through a lot, but she hasn't let it dull her sweet spirit. She's healthy, happy, and ready to find a forever family that will cherish her for the wonderful little companion she is. If you're looking for a loving, loyal best friend who enjoys walks, snuggles, and the company of small furry friends, Starla may be the perfect addition to your family! I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
