07/22/26 09:51 Rocky continues to have a head tilt despite antibiotics. When under anesthesia for his neuter, he was checked for polyps and none were found. He is happy, playing, and eating well and remains in need of urgent rescue *or* is available for adoption with waiver07/13/26 18:26Rocky is an approximately **10-week-old gray tabby kitten** looking for a rescue partner to help him continue his recovery.Intake date: 6/28/26Due out: 6/28/26Rocky came to the shelter with an upper respiratory infection, corneal ulcers, and a **severe left sided head tilt**. His URI and corneal ulcers have resolved after two weeks of treatment, and he is otherwise bright, eating well, gaining weight, and growing like a normal kitten.His head tilt is his only remaining medical concern. He has **no other neurologic abnormalities**—he is not circling, not wobbly, and is able to walk and navigate normally and he has normal vision. Because a middle or inner ear infection is one possible cause of a head tilt in a young kitten, Rocky has completed **2 weeks of empiric Clavamox**, with mild improvement in his head tilt (but the head tilt is still moderate in severity and persistent). He would benefit from rescue placement where his antibiotic course can be continued for a total of ~6 weeks and he can receive follow-up veterinary care fi head tilt does not resolve completely. On initial awake otoscopic exam he did not have any apparent ear polyps; but it is recommeded that he be re-checked for polyps (both in the nose and in the ears) when he is under anesthesia for his neuter, particularly if the URI recurs or if his head tilt does not resolve.Rocky is a happy kitten who is thriving despite his head tilt. Many cats with a residual head tilt go on to enjoy an excellent quality of life, even if the tilt does not completely resolve.Rocky is on **Needs Rescue Urgent** status and is looking for a rescue partner who can continue his treatment and help him reach his full potential.
